 rla group

challenge

The Media Foundry was appointed by the new CEO of a very successful, but largely unknown regional marketing agency based in Bournemouth

The campaign had to help take the business to the next level, and attract both new business and the best talent in the market place

creative solution: "local"

The campaign was less about public relations but more about business development as we went about creating RLA'a first new business team and cold approach processes, whilst facilitating the development of the agency's positioning around local and networked marketing.

Simultaneously we mounted a media relations campaign for industry change, harnessing local pressure against monolithic brands and highlighting regional marketing successes and national agency failures.  RLA's work with VW Commercial Vehicles and retailers like Trade Depot and Mace helped press the point home.

campaign results

The campaign completely transformed the agency's approach to new business and marketing, resulting in a significant uplift in new clients

The press campaign fundamentally changed the perception of 'local marketing' amongst the press, shifting it from parochial to a crucial part of the marketing mix

RLA is now regularly sought out for comment on digital and local marketing issues

Media relations ROI of 13:1, and as a result of the campaign we now work closely with a number of RLA's clients
