 e&o

challenge

Successful ski entrepreneur Paul Goldstein had built Nevica from scratch and turned Killy into a leading global brand.  Looking for a new challenge, he set about launching new British skiwear label E+O.

Our brief was simple - fill E+O's order book for the start of the 2007 season through a focused trade marketing launch campaign

creative solution: "reveal"

We staged a high profile product reveal through a press & VIP only event in central London.  Key retail buyers, European media and distributors were invited to view the range, speak to E+O's senior management and place orders if they so desired.  The key at this stage was to not create excessive consumer demand prior to the store listing, so the focus was solely b2b and trade press.

campaign results

The party’s success and resulting media coverage ensured E+O’s order book was full for the 2007 season

Over 40 face to face media briefings for Paul Goldstein took place on the day with key UK and European press, delivering very high profile awareness across core trade audiences after the event

By not targeting the consumer press, ski fanatics were not let down by untimely reviews of E+O kit without it being available in stores - months after the trade event, the consumer campaign kicked in to help drive retail sales.
